WFL were contracted to complete the Electrical Sub-Contract works associated with Call Offs 01-04 as part of the Advanced Works Package for the new National Maternity Hospital development at the St. Vincent’s University Hospital Campus.
Call Off 01 consisted of the construction of a new Energy Centre adjacent to Block S which required WFL to supply & install new Sub Mains cables to provide power to Blocks P, G, H [Pharmacy, Lifts, Cath Lab] & Pet-CT.
This required precise co-ordination with the client, strict ESSOW [Electrical Safe System of Work] procedures and scheduled power changeovers.
WFL were contarcted for a design & Build contract to supply the Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure for the new Posi Line Extra Sterile Production Hall at the BD Medical site in Drogheda. This project was undertaken in a live medical production plant.
The new production line is supported by a new CHP plant, steam boilers, chillers and Electrical Distribution System.
As part of the BD Medical effort to reduce and rationalise energy consumption, WFL supplied and installed 1.5 MW CHP, with a Jenbacher 420 Gas engine, and new MV switchgear as part of the Energy Infrastructure.
This system was integrated into the BD water, Gas and Electricity supplies.
WFL completed the full electrical services installation to a new 160 Bed Aparthotel on Ormond Quay.
The hotel consists of 160 No. Bedrooms complete with kitchenette within the new structure to the rear of the existing buildings on Ormond Quay. The reception, hospitality bar and meeting areas were constructed within the existing protected structure on Ormond quay.
90% of services within the facility are exposed, as part of a modern design.
This project was co-ordinated and constructed using BIM.
