Project Specifications
William Farrell Ltd. designed a full turnkey package for the design and build of a new data centre for Oracle EMEA, which included Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Data and Fire Suppression systems.
This state of the art data centre required the construction of a separate building to house a new sub-station, transformers, and switch-gear, as well as external roof supports to house three 700Kw chillers and 35Kw pump sets to power and cool the data centre. The data centre is fitted out with forty-six in-row cooling units forming part of six hot-aisle pod systems complete with FM200 fire suppression, leak detection, Cat6 and fibre optic structured cabling.
As this project was electrically driven, WFL acted as Main Contractor PSDP. WFL managed the entire project from start to finish, held weekly co-ordination and safety meetings and continuously met with the client to provide updates on progress and review design changes.
