Project Specifications

WFL were engaged to install the electrical services for the fit-out of St. Joseph’s Ward in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. The project was split over two phases, approx. 4 months apart. This project was designed and installed to the BC(A)R regs and the BC(A)R procurement procedures played a major role in the delivery of this project.

The key elements relating to this project were co-coordinating installation works in live hospital environments such as operating theaters, admin spaces, therapy rooms and live wards, to manage infection control and tie in with ward managers and nurses.

As part of the project, WFL installed fire alarm, lighting, general services, structured cabling, medical anti-bacterial trunking and accessories, power distribution and nurse call systems. The project began in Spring 2015 and was handed over to the client in March 2016.
